Chamfer ФС-36/22

A chamfer is a type of hand-held travel tool designed for chamfering in bolt holes of railway rails of any standard size. Manual chamfering machines are used both in the field for chamfering in the bolt holes of the rails lying in the path, and in stationary ones when preparing the rails for laying.

The use of machines allows to significantly strengthen the drilled holes in the rails, prolongs the service life of the rails due to a decrease in the concentration of stresses on the edges of bolt holes, which ultimately ensures increased traffic safety on the railways.

The ФС-36/22 track chamfer puller manufactured by the TEXKOM St. Petersburg Machine-Building Plant is used to process holes in rails of all types. The diameter of the machined bolt holes is Ø 22 ÷ 36 mm.

The ФС-36/22 manual beveling machine consists of a sliding frame with a snap lock on the handle and a cutting tool inserted into the bolt hole and brought into rotational movement with a ratchet wrench by the force of one operator.

As a cutting tool in the chamfer, a replaceable conical countersink is used, made of high-quality high-speed steel grade P6M5, which has high resistance to fracture and wear resistance, as well as high hardness.

Chamfers are removed from both sides of the hole in turn. The removal time of two chamfers in one hole is approximately 60 seconds.
